The driest corner of Europe, and what that means indoors
This is the driest part of the Spanish mainland, and water behaves accordingly. Two things follow from it.
First, the water itself. Depending on where the supply comes from — mains, desalinated, a well or a shared deposit — hardness and mineral content vary enormously from one urbanisation to the next. Which is exactly why we measure it at your tap before recommending any treatment. A softener sized by guesswork is the equipment that gets abandoned within a year, and a softener is not a drinking water filter: that is reverse osmosis, a different job.
Second, evaporation. Pool owners here regularly think they have a leak in July when what they have is a dry climate doing what it does. The bucket test settles it in 48 hours and costs nothing — it is on our pools page. We would rather you did that first than pay for a leak search you do not need.
What we are called out for here
- Hidden water leaks — located with acoustic equipment, thermal imaging and tracer gas. We open the exact point, not half the floor.
- Air conditioning — servicing, repair and installation. F-Gas certified. If it needs re-gassing every year, you have a leak.
- Pools — maintenance, filtration, leak repair, and opening and closing for the season.
- Plumbing — water heaters, pressure problems, repiping, taps and waste.
- Bathroom refurbishment, with the pipework done properly behind the tiles.
If the property is empty part of the year
Access arranged with whoever you authorise, photographs before and after, a written report, a fixed price agreed in advance, and WhatsApp so time zones do not matter. The full detail is on our page for non-resident owners.
And the one thing worth more than the rest of the list put together: close the main stopcock when you leave. A leak running for four months in an empty house is the most expensive thing that can happen to a property.

How we work
- Licensed installer since January 2001 and F-Gas certified. Where an installation requires a certificate, we issue it.
- A fixed written price before anything starts.
- Monday to Friday 8:00–18:00, Saturday 9:00–14:00. Urgent jobs inside those hours, same day. We are not a 24/7 service and we would rather say so than not answer the phone.
