What we do

• Leaks and burst pipes. Located before we break anything — see leak detection.
• Water heaters and boilers. Installation, replacement, element and sacrificial anode changes.
• Pressure problems. Pressure sets, pumps, reserve tanks. If yours starts and stops every few seconds, it is almost never the pump.
• Repiping. Replacing old galvanised or worn pipework, chased into the wall, with manifolds and isolating valves so a future repair does not mean opening the whole house again.
• Taps, cisterns, waste and drains.
• Expansion vessels, safety valves and pressure reducers — which is what prevents half the failures that later cost real money.

Low pressure? It is often not what you think

Before anyone sells you a pressure set, the incoming pressure should be measured. If the supply arrives fine and the problem is inside the property, a pump is money spent fixing nothing. What we actually find:

• A pressure reducer set wrong or seized solid. One visit.
• A blocked main filter, common wherever there is grit in the supply.
• Old pipe furred up with limescale — 20mm on the outside, 8mm of actual bore left. No pump fixes that.
• A stopcock left half closed after previous work. It happens more than you would think.
• Genuinely low mains pressure at certain hours. Then yes, you need a tank and a pressure set.

Hard water: the local tax on everything

South-east Spain has some of the hardest water in the country. It is what kills water heaters, furs up boilers, ruins shower screens and makes the kettle look ten years old. A correctly sized softener changes that completely — a badly sized one causes problems within a year, which is why we measure the hardness at your tap before recommending anything.

And one thing worth knowing: a softener is not a drinking water filter. It stops limescale. If what you want is better tasting water, that is reverse osmosis, which is a different piece of equipment for a different job.

Communities and urbanisations

Risers, plant rooms, communal pressure sets, waste stacks and repairs in communal areas. Itemised quotes, because on a coastal urbanisation the committee is often half Spanish and half foreign and the figures have to be defensible in two languages at the AGM.

How we work

• We look, then quote. A fixed written price before anything starts. If something appears once we open up that could not be seen, we stop, explain and you decide.
• We explain the options. When there are three ways to solve something, you get all three with what each costs.
• Pressure test before we close a wall. It is in our interest as much as yours that nothing appears afterwards.
• Invoice with IVA broken out, and the installer certificate where the installation requires one.
