This stretch of the Marina Baixa is two different worlds that call for different work. In Benidorm it is mostly apartment buildings, with their shared installations. In the urbanisations of Finestrat, La Nucía, Alfaz del Pi and El Albir, and in the houses of Villajoyosa, the usual home is a detached villa or townhouse with a garden and, very often, a pool. We work in both, so we explain each one separately here.
Villas and townhouses with a pool
This is the work we are asked for most outside central Benidorm. A house like this packs several systems into one place — water, heating, pool, garden — and problems usually appear because nobody looks at them together. The most common jobs:
- Hidden leaks: under the floor, in the garden or in the pool pipework, located without digging blindly (leak detection). If the meter keeps turning with everything shut off, there is a leak.
- Pools that need renovating: filtration, pumps, leaks and a proper restart, or rethinking the whole pool. See swimming pools.
- From a conventional pool to a natural pool: a conversion that can be studied on the pool you already have instead of building from scratch. It is assessed case by case, looking at the pool, the space available and how you use it.
- Heating the pool with the sun: solar pool heating.
- Heating, hot water and aerothermal systems, with installation and servicing: heating and hot water.
- Bathroom and kitchen renovations and extensions to the plumbing: bathroom refurbishment.
- Hard water: a water softener is sized to the water you use each day and its hardness.
Apartment buildings and communities in Benidorm
In a building the work changes scale and counterpart: there is no single owner deciding, but a community that has to approve the spend. That is why we prepare itemised quotes that can be defended at the owners’ meeting, and we explain them in Spanish and in English when owners speak both.

These are the towns and urbanisations where we look after the most villas and townhouses. The work is the same as described above; only the drive from our Altea office changes. If you live in an urbanisation and your area is not named, ask anyway: we cover the province of Alicante.

If you do not live here all year
Many homes in this area are empty for part of the year. We get in with whoever you say (neighbour, administrator or a deposited key), send you before-and-after photos and a written report, and work on a fixed written quote. More at non-resident owners and closing up your coastal property.
How we work
- In the trade since 1996, with installer and heating and hot-water maintainer licences. Where an installation needs a certificate, we issue it.
- Fixed price in writing before we start.
- English throughout, from first call to final report.
- Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00–18:00 and Saturday 9:00–14:00. We attend emergencies.

Frequently asked questions
Do you look after villas and urbanisations as well as apartment buildings?
Yes. In this area most of the work is in detached homes — a villa or townhouse with a garden and pool — and we also look after buildings and communities in Benidorm.
Can my pool be converted into a natural pool?
It is a conversion that can be studied on the existing pool. It depends on the pool, the space and how you use it, so we assess it by seeing the pool before quoting.
Can you find a hidden leak without lifting the floor?
Yes. We locate the leak with detection equipment and open only the exact spot, not half the floor. First we check with the meter whether there really is a leak.
Do you also do bathroom and kitchen renovations?
Yes, along with extensions to the plumbing and heating installations. We give a fixed price in writing after seeing the property.
